In the Darkness of the NIght

This poem is about a - creature - flying about in the middle of the night. It's only revealed at the end, but you should be able to guess by line 8! Hope you like it. :) It was written on the 10th of August, 2011

In the darkness of the night
Appears a strange, mysterious sight.
Etched out of the moon, its silhouette looms
Among heady scents of midnight blooms
It swoops down low along the rushes
Against the leafy trees it brushes
It pauses, freezes, in midair
Moonlight illuminates every hair
The bat continues its silent flight
In the darkness of the night.

So, did you guess it? Yes, the big clue was the "hair". :) I hope you liked this poem!
